In 2016, one of Malaysia state’s water boards engaged Aristal to conduct a review on its strategic IT implementation project for its core revenue management system. Aristal delivered the high spot review report and advised on the implementation challenges faced by the project and our recommendations on the options forward.
Subsequently, Aristal conducted an implementation planning exercise for the replacement of the core revenue management and field services systems. Aristal recommended the options for the replacement of the said systems, developed the target operating model, conducted vendor assessment and planned the implementation for the initiative.
In 2017, Aristal helped the water board to manage an open tender to select the new core revenue management system. Aristal developed the tender requirements and documents and drove the evaluation and negotiation process.
Aristal was subsequently engaged to lead, plan and manage the overall implementation of the new integrated core revenue management system. In 2019, Aristal successfully delivered Phase 1 of the new core revenue management system, replacing the existing billing, field service management and payment collection systems with one single system. The project scope involved the migration of its 600k customer accounts into the new system, development of new interfaces and system training for ~200 end-users. The delivery of Phase 1 marked a significant milestone as it enabled the water board to make the leap forward to improve customers’ experience and operations’ productivity and effectiveness via automation.
Aristal successfully delivered Phase 2 in 2020. The scope of Phase 2 included a new mobile solution for field service, business process re-engineering of work order management and enhancements to improve new application tracking in the core revenue management system.
